Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya (VTV) – Movie review

VTV is running successfully with huge response from lovers and youths.


Lot of expectation for this movie. The expectations of the film gone a little high when simbu and Gautam menon put their hands together. Soon after the step in of A.R.Rahman , the Academic award winner to the film , made the film’s expectation gone across sky.

This movie is all about a true love between a growing up young director karthik (Simbu) and Christian girl Jessie (Trisha).

The compination of these three (Gautam, A.R.R, Simbu) worked well in the film. Gautam once again proved that he know the heartbeats of modern youth and worked on with the same genre in the film. The narration of Gautam is the key success of the film, which differs from usual love sequences.

Acting of simbu and Trisha are superb ! Especially simbu’s different look in the film is an add up for this film. simbu and trisha has not acted in the film , though they are lived as the charaters in the film. That much realistic in acting. Simply awesome to watch! But the man to whom the credit should go is non other than Gautham.

Music is the highlight of the film. As music play a major role, approximately half an hour of the film is packed up with songs. Talking about the songs, Hosanna is the best of all received large response from the audience. That is really mind blowing. The other songs like Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Mannippaya are melodious and soothing numbers adding the real feel to the film. Picturization of the songs are beautiful.The background score is brilliant. A.R.Rahman proved himself once again!

Excellent work by the man behind the lense, Manoj . Each and every scene of the film is picture very well. A delight to watch. Editing by Antony and Art direction by Rajeevan is perfect.

The first half of the film is romantic and the second half is moving in a serious mood with slow phase (only minus for this film).

Over all this film is a must watch film. Once again a good film from Gautam , A.R.R and the crew. It is all about love, love and lots of love…..
